Beyond The Blue provides consultancy, training and event management services to individuals, organisations and businesses from a variety of different sectors.
The managers, trainers and instructors at Beyond The Blue come from a wide variety of backgrounds including; the licensed retail sector, police, fire service, ambulance service, universities, private enterprise, the entertainment industry and international blue chip companies. Using our extensive knowledge and experience from all these areas, we develop our services to reflect our client's needs, through detailed research, consultation and Training Needs Analysis (pdf document).
Our focus is on how we can change attitudes and views to ensure that clients gain an effective advantage in their areas of business. For individuals, we provide them with skills, knowledge, confidence and perspective to help them manage in a more positive and professional manner.

Beyond The Blue Specialises in:
Conflict Management and Resolution. (Solutions to Conflict, Aggression & Violence in the Workplace)
- Training and solutions for employees working in environments where they have contact with the public and are subject to any form of harassment, aggression or violence at their place of work.
- Conflict Management and Resolution training (CMR) examines subjects including; effective positive communication skills, dynamic risk assessment, human behaviour, signalling non-aggression, defusing high risk conflict, the law, post incident support and report writing. Courses are designed specifically for our clients working environment, to allow individuals to reduce risk, prevent conflict and resolve it before it turns to violence.
- For clients working in high risk environments we offer Physical Intervention (PI) courses teaching low-impact, easy to learn physical interventions techniques. These are suitable for use in those instances when conflict management and resolution skills are no longer effective. Our simple low-impact techniques allow individuals to remove themselves safely from the situation and seek assistance. Where required we also include skills designed to enable candidates to safely and professionally restrain, escort and remove aggressors, without the need to use of force or strength.
- The Beyond The Blue team have over 20 years experience within the licensed retail sector (bars, clubs, off-licenses, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets etc.). This gives us the perfect platform to provide training courses which qualify candidates for nationally recognised qualifications and a comprehensive consultancy service.
- Beyond The Blue is approved by the BIIAB to administer the exams for their portfolio of courses. These are essential for employers to meet their obligations under the Licensing Act 2003 and provide a defence of due diligence in the case of prosecution.

- We provide BIIAB approved training to allow individuals to attain the Security Industry Authority (SIA) Door Supervisor Licence through the National Certificate for Door Supervisors (NCDS).
- In-House Security Induction training (IHSI) for clients employing in-house security or door supervisor teams, to review their systems and provide their employees with effective and venue specific training.
- Venue Specific Manuals designed to cover every aspect of working as a security guard or door supervisor at your specific venue. These are most often developed to compliment In-House Security Induction training (IHSI)
- We offer bespoke courses in specific areas of relevant to the Security Industry including; Drugs Awareness* (DA), Fire Safety (FS), First Aid (FA), Conflict Management and Resolution training (CMR) and Physical Intervention training (PI).

- We run Fire Safety training (FS) designed specifically to reflect your premises. Training covers both pre-emptive fire safety procedures, fire fighting equipment and emergency evacuation procedures.
- A Fire Risk Assessment is required for every premises and workplace in which people are employed to work under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Beyond The Blue can help you achieve your statutory requirements under the Act for any type of premises.
- First Aid courses (FA) at levels including; one day emergency First Aid courses for appointed persons, four day First Aid at Work courses, two day refresher courses.
- Providing all aspects of event management for events of any size. Specialising in Event Management, Event Security and Licensed Event Bars.
- Event co-ordination and Event Support in the form of Event Paramedics, Environmental Acoustic Monitoring, Fire Safety and evacuation planning, Technical Support, ticketing and entry requirements, catering and temporary structure construction.
