Beyond The Blue is a training, consultancy and event management company. We help our clients develop and succeed in their chosen field.

We specialise in training for:

We understand the particular needs of each sector and the different needs of each client within each sector. The advantage of working with a wide spectrum of clients is that where appropriate, we bring ideas and solutions from one sector to the others. We look for comprehensive, innovative and realistic solutions; rather then just suggesting the obvious and often outdated 'one size fits all' industry specific solutions.

Beyond The Blue is a ‘BIIAB Grade 1’ Training Centre (The BIIAB describe Grade 1 as ‘demonstrating outstanding quality procedures’); we pride ourselves on our professional and effective approach and our high success rate with candidates choosing us as their training provider.

The following are examples of our success rates in 2008:

  • National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders (NCPLH) - Of all the candidates who used Beyond The Blue as their training provider for the NCPLH throughout the whole of 2008 only 2 candidates failed to pass their examination. All other candidates passed, most with very high pass marks, qualifying them to apply for their Personal Licence to sell and authorise the sale of alcohol in England & Wales.

  • Award in Responsible Alcohol Retailing (ARAR) - Of all the candidates who used Beyond The Blue as their training provider for the ARAR throughout the whole of 2008 only 1 candidate failed to pass their examination (it should be pointed out that the candidate who failed, did so on a technicality based on filling in the answer sheet incorrectly). All other candidates passed, most with very high pass marks, providing their employers with a strong defence of due diligence in respect to any potential prosecution under the Licensing Act 2003.

The following are some examples of the feedback scores we received from candidates in 2008 (Scores on Feedback forms are between 1 and 5, 1 being very poor and 5 being excellent):

  • Across all our courses throughout 2008, under the heading 'Trainers Knowledge and Performance' 12% of candidates scored us 4; 88% of candidates scored us 5.

  • Across all our courses throughout 2008, under the heading 'Overall Course Satisfaction'' 21% of candidates scored us 4; 78% of candidates scored us 5.

At Beyond The Blue we are specialists in planning ahead, the underlying principle of our company is to prevent incidents occurring 'out of the blue' and to help our clients see 'Beyond The Blue'. We will help you create a more secure, effective, productive and safer working environment.

We employ only specialist instructors to deliver our courses and provide client services. All our instructors and consultants are highly experience in their fields and work with the objective of providing candidates with the skills and knowledge to succeed in their workplace.

The experience of our instructors brings the subject they are teaching to life. Our training is based on a variety of training styles including; open learning, classroom based learning, scenario based learning, group work and interactive discussion. This approach allows us to meet the preferred learning styles of all candidates.

Courses we run for our corporate clients are tailored to meet the specific needs of that client, allowing us to put the information into more specific context.

We develop relationships with our Corporate Clients for the longer term. This allows us to continuously improve the service we offer as we develop a better understanding of the clients business over time. We perform a Training Needs Analysis (pdf document) when we are contracted to provide services to new clients.

In addition to providing excellent training, we provide candidates attending our courses with a selection of comprehensive course hand-outs. These come together to form a training folder candidates can refer back to, in order to refresh their skills and knowledge. For our portfolio of BIIAB courses these hand-outs compliment the course handbook and provide additional information we feel is relevant but not covered in the handbooks.

We are always happy to provide our clients with advice and after-service if they require further information on any of the subjects we specialise in.
