Half Day (3 hours) on completion of a Training Needs Analysis (pdf document) and depending on the nature of the premises and the working environment.
Where and when are the courses run?

What is Fire Safety (FS)?
Our fire safety course examines fire prevention strategies by reviewing the common causes of fire and the nature of fire. By giving candidates an understanding of fire, we help them understand what they can do as individuals and as a team to reduce the risk from fire.
The course also provides candidates with the information they need in order to fulfil their responsibilities in the case of discovering a fire or of a fire alarm sounding. It covers the specific procedures involved in the safe evacuation of your workplace and ensuring that all customers, employees and visitors are evacuated and accounted for.
Our courses are premises specific and reflect your workplace and the exact nature of each individual's responsibility in the case of fire.

Who should attend this course?
The course is designed for all employees in the workplace. Our approach to fire safety is all inclusive and very much one of safety in numbers. The more employees that are aware of fire safety measures, the safer your workplace.
As much of our course looks at the causes of fire and fire prevention; the more employees who attend, the more will understand how to take constructive measures to reduce the risk of fire.

What is the outcome of the course?
On completion candidates will gain an understanding of fire safety specifically reflecting their place of work. Candidates will also understand and be able to demonstrate their role in an emergency evacuation. The course will provide them with the skills and knowledge to act more safely and confidently in their workplace.
On successfully completing the Fire Safety course, candidates will receive an individually numbered certificate of completion from Beyond The Blue.
How is the course assessed?
There is no examination and candidates are awarded the certificate for successfully completing the course, providing they take a full and active part throughout all sessions and satisfy the instructor of their comprehension of all the subjects covered.

Our fire safety courses are designed to complement your Fire Risk Assessment. If you currently do not have a Fire Risk Assessment for your premises, we can develop one for you as part of a Consultancy Project (Fire Safety). This process makes your working environment safer and helps you comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. As part of this process we design your evacuation procedure and can also run or assist with evacuation drills, as part of your fire safety procedures.
