First Aid (FA) Training

All employers should have some form of first aid provision in place. This provision must be relevant to the nature and size of their premises.

For larger businesses and especially those working in higher risk sectors such as the Licensed Retail Sector or the Security Industry, these requirements may be substantial as their first aid provision must cover their employees, visitors and customers of the business. This is especially the case where the business attracts some level of Workplace Violence.

For these higher risk businesses, having first aiders on duty should be a prerequisite. The size of the business should dictate the number of first aiders required.

We deliver a number of different first aid courses to suit the specific requirements of our clients and their business. We run courses at our client's own premises and at their convenience.

The first aid courses available include:

• Appointed Persons First Aid - One Day Course - Covers the basic emergency first aid techniques and gives an entry level understanding for non designate First Aiders. Certificate valid for one year.

• First Aid at Work - Four Day Course - Covers the full 'first aid at work' curriculum for your Designated First Aiders and covers in detail all the first aid requirements for the work place. Certificate valid for three years.

• Refresher Course - Two Days - To refresh the knowledge of the 'first aid at work - four day course'. Refresher courses should be taken three years after the original four day course, to maintain your skills and retain the title of Designated First Aider. Certificate valid for three years.
